National Service Scheme (NSS) is a widely recognized and influential youth-centric program in colleges across the country. NSS was established in 1969, the year Mahatma Gandhi celebrated his birth, with the primary goal of fostering the character and personality of student youth via volunteer community service. The ideals of Mahatma Gandhi provide inspiration for the NSS’s ideological stance. “NOT ME, BUT YOU” is the NSS motto. NSS was commissioned by Dr.K.V.Subba Reddy Institute of Pharmacy in 2010. The activities of the KVSP NSS mainly focus on Community Development Services, Social Services, Environmental Awareness Programs, Health Awareness Programs. The NSS at KVSP has guidelines to conduct various Regular and Special Camping activities.
1.Community Service: Encouraging Students To Actively Engage In Community Service Activities, Addressing Social Issues Such As Education, Healthcare, Environmental Conservation, Rural Development, And More.
2.Personality Development: Providing A Platform For Students To Develop Leadership Skills, Enhance Interpersonal Communication, And Build A Strong Ethical Foundation Through Various Training Programs And Workshops.
3.Empathy And Social Awareness: Promoting A Sense Of Empathy, Compassion, And Understanding Towards The Needs And Challenges Faced By Marginalized Sections Of Society, Encouraging Students To Become Responsible Citizens.
